i think i better follow you around

Alfredo & Edeath, are a couple of music lovers who met later in life but grew up loving almost the same bands and hating others but always listening to music, old and new, and apart from collecting vinyl and books and going to see every good band coming to town, (or a few miles away), got together and created "I think i better follow you around", a website/music blog, where they share all the music they like and help promote upcoming concerts, local bands from San Diego and Tijuana and amazing artists from around the world. I think I better follow you around is an independent project.

to be swallowed up by the fast running stream, down into the giant ever growing river and on to the sea.”

TRACKLIST:
01 “Or So I Thought”
02 “Blind”

Kenneth Turner (vocals) shared this about the album: “I would say the record is a racket. It’s loud like any hardcore record should be, it’s jarring, it’s hella bright, and even though the guitars aren’t very distorted, it still has moments where it’s heavy. I grew up listening to punk on shitty, tinny stock car speakers, so I always kinda always wanted Fentanyl to sound like you were listening to it in a 2003 Honda Civic. I do think I’ve taken that a bit to the extreme in terms of tone, but at the end of the day it sets us apart.”

we drifted through it, arguing.
every day a new war crime, every day a flower bloom.
we sat down together and wrote it in one room,
and then sat down in a different room, recording.
NO TITLE= what gestures make sense while tiny bodies fall? what context? what broken melody?
and then a tally and a date to mark a point on the line, the negative process, the growing pile.
the sun setting above beds of ash
while we sat together, arguing.
the old world order barely pretended to care.
this new century will be crueler still.
war is coming.
don’t give up.
pick a side.
hang on.
love.
GY!BE”

The band has announced tour dates for the fall of 2024 and the spring of 2025 with one date included for Tijuana.

Crows – “Visions Of Me”

Crows have shared the second single, “Visions Off Me”, off their upcoming third album “Reason Enough” out September 27th via Bad Vibrations.

TRACKLIST:

01. Reason Enough
02. Bored
03. Is It Better
04. Vision Of Me
05. Land Of The Rose
06. Every Day Of The Year
07. Lie To Me
08. Living On My Knees
09. Silhouettes
10. D-Gent

James Fox said this about the album: “We wrote ‘Reason Enough’ in a period like this when we were all simultaneously working day jobs to pay the bills. And when we’re not touring, I become way more aware of, and susceptible to, the news cycle. Being bombarded by constant doom and gloom can create a real despondent maelstrom. With what seemed like no hope for respite, or any change to my routine whatsoever.”

The video for the second single was directed by Alexandre Do and he shared this about the video: “This song made me think of how hard it is to change as a person, how we usually fall back to our own habits. I wanted to see hundreds of clones of James, past versions of him who all do the same thing in an immovable routine. Making this music video was a real feat, but I am ecstatic seeing it on screen and so thankful to all the people who believed in us and the idea.”

James shared this about the song: “When writing ‘Vision Of Me,’ I was grappling with some unhealthy emotional tendencies I’d developed over several years. I was exploring my own reactive behavior and becoming someone I hated, and at the same time, coming to terms with the reasons this happened. It’s a very cathartic song for me as it stirs up some difficult memories, but also shows me how far I’ve come.”

Goat – “Ouroboros”

Goat have shared the lead single, “Ouroboros”, off their upcoming self titled third album out October 11th via Rocket Recordings.

TRACKLIST:

1. One More Death
2. Goatbrain
3. Fool’s Journey
4. Dollar Bill
5. Zombie
6. Frisco Beaver
7. The All Is One
8. Ouroboros

Goat shared this about the single: “The cycle of rebirth means the refinement of the soul. An evolution in which we slowly find our direction. Our own rhythm.”

We first heard of this band because it was mentioned by Iggy Pop on a radio show he used to have and to this day the band has not disappointed (yet).

Flying Lotus – “Garmonbozia”

Flying Lotus has shared the first single, “Garmonbozia”, off what most likely be his upcoming album.

The title for the song comes off a reference from David Lynch’s “Twin Peaks”, which Steven Ellison has made no secret how much of a fan he is of Lynch.

No there details have been shared about the upcoming album or possible score from his upcoming film “Ash” which is still in post production.

X – “Ruby Church”

X have shared the second single, “Ruby Church”, off what will be their last album “Smoke & Fiction” which was released August 2nd via Fat Possum.

TRACKLIST:

03 “The Way It Is”
04 “Flipside”
05 “Big Black X”
06 “Smoke & Fiction”
07 “Struggle”
08 “Winding Up The Time”
09 “Face In The Moon”
10 “Baby & All”

The video for the song was directed by Brandise Danesewich.

Jack White – “No Name”

Jack White has officially announced the release of his new album, “No Name”.

Tracklist:

1. Old Scratch Blues
2. Bless Yourself
3. That’s How I’m Feeling
4. It’s Rough on Rats (If You’re Asking)
5. Archbishop Harold Holmes
6. Bombing Out
7. What’s the Rumpus?
8. Tonight (Was a Long Time Ago)
9. Underground
10. Number One With a Bullet
11. Morning at Midnight
12. Missionary
13. Terminal Archenemy Endling

The one thing we’ll give to Jack White on these sorts of releases that he does is that he’s in an almost enviable position of being able to release an album with no advance warning no singles no promo no nothing and still be able to move a few hundred thousand copies of his album.

Capsula – “Premonición”

Capsula have shared a new song, “Premonición”, which is available in all platforms now.

This, most likely, will be part of their new and upcoming album, for which we have no additional details yet and their follow up to “Phantasmaville” which was released back in 2021.

If this song is any indication as to what the album will sound like, then we should be expecting a 1970’s glam rock n roll album in the same vein as a Bolan or Bowie album from that era and that is always a good sound.
