i think i better follow you around

Alfredo & Edeath, are a couple of music lovers who met later in life but grew up loving almost the same bands and hating others but always listening to music, old and new, and apart from collecting vinyl and books and going to see every good band coming to town, (or a few miles away), got together and created "I think i better follow you around", a website/music blog, where they share all the music they like and help promote upcoming concerts, local bands from San Diego and Tijuana and amazing artists from around the world. I think I better follow you around is an independent project.

Weirdcore came up with the idea to put it into the video too using a slightly different method that employs it in 3D space. I then made and rendered the assets and Weirdcore animated them into the end of the video.”

dePlume shared this about the song: “Before I recorded GOLD, I dropped an enormous metal tin of beautiful Greek honey on my studio floor. Heart-broken, I gathered it into my hands to be disposed of, which took ages. But I chose to embrace this too – not knowing why. And it turned out that it was a blessing for the making of that specific album (though I won’t say why, just now). The key thing for me is: embracing what is, without demanding to know why. Abundance and how it is, and how it can appear, and made welcome.”

Tom Skinner shared this about the collaboration: “I don’t remember much about the details of the session at all, other than that it was a welcome oasis of spontaneous music-making in what had become an otherwise arid and disheartening year. A glorious and joyous exploration of sound in time.”

Alabaster dePlume will go on tour this Fall, the details of dates and venues are in then the image below.

Stu Brooks – “Laughing Stock” (feat. Justin Pearson)

Stu Brooks has shared a new single, “Laughing Stock” which features Justin Pearson and Matt Cronk, from his upcoming album “40HZ” out September 22nd via Dine Alone Records.

Stu Brooks shared this about the song and working with Justin Pearson: “I first heard of Justin when Mike Patton introduced me to his band The Locust back while we were on the road with Peeping Tom. I have been inspired and influenced by his work for about 15 years now. I only wish I could have found him sooner! He is a punk noise legend for decades and dedicated his life to his art, numerous bands and his record label Three One G which has a sick roster of punk and experimental music. I’m honoured that he was down to write this song with me and Matt Cronk (Qui).”

Justin Pearson : “It’s an honor to work on material with Stu. It was only a matter of time till our orbits synced or collided, depending on how you look at it. And the fact that Matt Cronk is involved makes even more sense to me. Needless to say, Stu is an artist who, like me, is fully capable of meshing in certain realms, but also willing to go berserk and do whatever he wants, for the sake of art… or whatever you want to call it. Stu clearly is cut from similar cloth as me, so it is very comfortable collaborating on things with him. He rules.”

Lau.Ra – “Satisfied”

Lau.Ra has released a new single, “Satisfied”, out now.

Lau.Ra shared this about the song: “At the beginning of this year, I quietly set myself the challenge of singing properly on one of my own tracks. I’ve had some of my biggest successes singing on other people’s records, but it was time to try and bridge the gap between that voice and the bass-heavy house tracks I’m producing. The result is ‘Satisfied’, a summer bop made for some sunshine.”
