was just thinking about the meanings of the words “release” and “single” and the sensation of liberation-finally letting go of that one fragment of yourself that resided in your most intimate and creative delirium for quite some time. It’s the hope, as one does, that it will resonate with other minds-or, as Anne Carson says, that it “takes your mind and moves it where you didn’t expect it to move.” or me hopes.”

The video for the song was directed by Tony Lowe.

Lucrecia shared this about her album via a press release: “In the past, I often turned to movies and texts as mirrors to shape my stories, guiding me away from revealing too much from within, inventing isolated fictions. Andy Williams shared this about it: “Jimi and I both play drums on this one, so when you hear any fancy rolls… that’s him! We recorded it at Eve Studios and it was initially a bit overshadowed by other songs we were working on at the time. As with many Doves songs, we needed to just do a bit of patient chopping to actually get to the song, but we got there.”

Pulp – “Got To Have Love”

Pulp have shared the second single, “Got To Have Love”, off their upcoming album “More” out June 6th via Rough Trade.

Jarvis Cocker shared this about the song:“Love is a word I was unable to say until I was approaching 40. I listened to love songs all the time but couldn’t use the word in real life. The words to this song are me having a word with myself about this state of affairs. I gave myself a real talking-to. I have now learnt how to say it whilst keeping a straight face. You’ve got to have love. Oh yes you have. It’s a slightly hysterical song that tries to talk about love as I see it now.”

The video for the song was directed by Jarvis Cocker and it features footage of the 1977 Wigan Casino documentary.

Jamie Lidell shared this about the album via a press release: “The music of two Davids inspired the album: David Sylvian and David Bowie. Furthermore, If I’m gonna teach my son anything, it’s: follow that passion because especially as an autistic person, you need those special interests to guide you in life. That will be your saving grace when people are mocking you for being different. Having that and knowing the power of that is huge. And not to be all ‘life lesson’ about it, I know I should take a little bit of my own advice!”
