Geese – “100 Horses”

Geese have shared the third single, “100 Horses” off their upcoming album “Getting Killed” out September 26th via Partisan Records.

The label’s press release said this about the song: “The band’s new single is the rambling, groovy rock tune that welcomes global collapse with open arms, propelled forward by a steadily chugging rhythm section and muddied guitars that soundtrack Cameron’s absurdist apocalyptic dance party.”

Daniel Avery – “Greasy Off The Racing Line”

Daniel Avery has shared the second single, “Greasy Off The Racing Line” featuring Alison Mosshart, off his upcoming album “Tremors” out October 31st via Domino.

The video for the song was directed by Zak Watson.

Daniel Avery shared this about the song: “In many ways ‘Greasy off the Racing Line’ is the oil-soaked central cog of the album. A late-night drive through the darkened roads of the record. I’ve dreamt of working with Alison Mosshart for years – the first Kills music hit at the perfect time in my life, just as I was starting to make my own way out into the nighttime, Alison’s voice literally soundtracking some of my most formative footsteps into the most exciting of worlds. I love everything she has done, she’s as real as they come and it’s an honour to have her be a part of this Tremor collective.”

Kneecap – “Sayonara”

Kneecap have shared a new single, “Sayonara”, the song is available now via Heavenly / PIAS.

The video for the song was directed by Finn Keenan, and he shared this about it: “The intensity and ominous tone of ‘Sayõnara’ reminded me of both the best nights out and the brutal days that followed. That’s what sparked the idea. But I wanted to turn a typical dance video on its head and focus on the aftermath and how the chemicals in your body change as the week progresses. I wanted to capture the visceral intensity of paranoia and intrusive thoughts. Somehow, that “never again” anxiety of Monday slowly shifts by Friday into a “Weekend is here. Monday will never happen again! ” optimism.”

The video stars Jamie Lee O’Donnell and she shared this about it: “I had the best time filming the ‘Sayōnara’ music video. Not only is it a massive banger of a track but the intense yet euphoric video is sure to be remembered. The creativity and vision of director, Finn, created a fantastic environment for us all to create something really special. I was delighted to have been asked to be involved in this project especially as I am already a huge fan of Kneecap’s music and an admirer of their work overall.”

Spoon – “Chateau Blues” & “Guess I’m Fallin In Love”

Spoon have shared 2 (two) new songs today, “Chateau Blues” & “Guess I’m Fallin In Love”, off what will be their upcoming, still untitled, new album.

Britt Daniel shared this about the songs: “We started work on an album this year and the way that normally goes, we write, we rehearse, we record, we mix, we get it all wrapped up tightly and then start putting songs out into the world. But as we finished up the first two songs for the LP, it crossed somebody’s mind and eventually all of ours that these two really should come out now. Let’s get them out there. And so here they are today, “Chateau Blues” and “Guess I’m Fallin In Love.” Two new tunes with distinct personalities that were summoned into the world the past few months in Austin TX and Providence RI. It’s a big day all around: we will be on a tour run with the Pixies — let’s face it, one of theee great bands of all TIMES. A band that some may know has long been near and dear to me. It’s a real pleasure and we’re real happy to be getting back into gig world for a sec. See you down front.”

The Sophes – “For The First Time”

The Sophes have shared a new single, “For The First Time” a cover from Mac Demarco, just ahead of their tour.

Ethan Ramon shared this about the song:

The video for the song was directed & edited by Eric Daniels.

MOTHERMARY – “F*cked Up”

MOTHERMARY have shared a new single, “F*cked Up”, which is available now.

MOTHERMARY shared this about the song: “Have you ever wondered about the origins or Mothermary??? Find out the true and not entirely made up story of Larena’s exorcism and Elyse’s extraterrestrial abduction! Soon we will release the REAL footage of Larena’s exorcism and subsequent godly elevation. Then (hopefully) two weeks later we will release REAL footage documenting Elyse’s alien abduction and rapture. The MM cult has been shrouded in mystery since its 2020 inception but as most cults (and multilevel marketing schemes go) the deeper and more enmeshed you become the more is “revealed” to you Prepare for never before seen, unbelievable, seemingly impossible proof of the truth and power of MOTHERMARY ITS TOO LATE TO ESCAPE NOW. YOU’VE INVESTED TOO MUCH.”

Author & Punisher – “Thrush”

Author & Punisher has shared the second single, “Thrush”, off his upcoming album “Nocturnal Birding” out October 3rd via Relapse Records.

The video for the song was directed by Lucile Lejoly & Arnaud Fournier.

Tristan Shone shared this about the song and video: “This song is really the epitome of this album. When I heard the Wood Thrush song, it immediately made me think of Neurosis or Jesu…the melodic heart wrenching tracks like The Last You’ll Know. The Wood Thrush made this one easy for me: I just followed the chord progression of the bird exactly.

I reached out to Lucile because I found her tattoo artwork and really loved the medieval style mixed with some Elden Ring vibes. Over the next 8 months we forged an artistic relationship that resulted in the beautiful album artwork and video. Alongside creative partner Arnaud Fournier, the two have made an epic work that elevates the song. I think I will cry when I play this live first (like when I first played The Barge or Glorybox) because it is really songs like this that drive me to keep making music.”

Saint Etienne – “Take Me To The Pilot”

Saint Etienne have shared a new single, “Take Me To The Pilot”, off their upcoming (final) album “International” out September 5th via Heavenly.

The video for the song was directed by Alasdair McLellan. He shared this about the video: “We were shooting this lad called Jet, a breakdancer, for Arena Homme+ when Bob got in touch about a video for Saint Etienne. I filmed Jet breakin’ outside a bungalow in Tickhill, the village near Doncaster where I grew up. When Bob mentioned the album was called International, I decided to expand the idea and shoot a second part in Rome. It happened to coincide with the Vatican choosing the next Pope, so I thought why not have Jet dancing through the streets, with piazzas and Ponte Sant’Angelo’s angel sculptures in the background? As we moved through the city, the video unfolded into a kind of breakin’ pilgrimage to St Peter’s in the Vatican.”

Bob Stanley had this to say about the new single in a press release: “‘Take Me to the Pilot’ is a dark mystery, a flight to somewhere new, somewhere to make your heart beat faster. It’s about escape, disappearance, reinvention. Who’s the pilot? You don’t get to find out, that’s the mystery, and the fun. Paul Hartnoll from Orbital and Tim Powell from Xenomania worked on it with us, and it might just have the best bassline we’ve ever released.”

Pete Wiggs added this about the song: “Back in 1990, after Bob had written a piece on Orbital, the Hartnoll brothers kindly let us see their stage setup, we hadn’t done anything live yet and were slightly mystified. I think we remained so. Years later, now much wiser, I was reintroduced to Paul at a party in Hove, where I now live. We kept bumping into each other on the seafront, got chatting, and although I wasn’t sure he’d say yes, I asked if he’d be up for writing a song with us. He did, and we love it!”
