i think i better follow you around

Alfredo & Edeath, are a couple of music lovers who met later in life but grew up loving almost the same bands and hating others but always listening to music, old and new, and apart from collecting vinyl and books and going to see every good band coming to town, (or a few miles away), got together and created "I think i better follow you around", a website/music blog, where they share all the music they like and help promote upcoming concerts, local bands from San Diego and Tijuana and amazing artists from around the world. I think I better follow you around is an independent project.

My Mother’s Love
Her gentle touch
My Father’s Hand
Rests on my Throat

“Our new leaders hope to crush our spirits and expedite ecocide in the name of virulent progress, consumerism and false security.

Like Jihadis, many capitalists and Christians compulsively seek to facilitate a righteous “holy war”, or apocalypse.

For millennia, Men have enslaved women and attempted to appropriate female creative power, re-casting themselves as gods and creators.
This assault continues today in the forms of ruthless wealth and mineral extraction, genetic engineering, mass surveillance and war mongering.

But as Donald Trump and his cabinet now demonstrate, the skills encouraged in men by their biologies and the tools that boys master in the playground have not equipped them to deal with the unprecedented global crisis we are now facing.

Mothers, your sons are trapped in a nightmare; they are not capable of responsibly negotiating the destructive agency that they now wield.

More profound even than a crime against humanity, fathers and sons now compulsively prepare to commit ecocide, in a final and irreversible assault upon creation itself.

Only an intervention by women around the world, with their innate knowledge of interdependency, deep listening, empathy and self-sacrifice, could possibly alter our species’ desperate course.”

We want to wish a happy birthday to one of our favorite singers, musicians and creative minds, Mike Patton.

Crocodiles in Tijuana

Crocodiles have a new album produced by Martin Thulin.

“A very different Crocodiles record this time, more focused on bass lines and beats than walls of guitars. As always a pleasure to work with Brandon and Charles in the studio, even though we were all experiencing hardships in real life at the time. It’s not a just gimmick the album is called Dreamless.”

In support of their new album “Dreamless”, they will be touring in USA with AJ Davila and they are also stopping in Tijuana, México to perform live at Moustache Bar on Saturday February 18, also playing Channel, Some kind of lizard and we will be there selecting rad music between these awesome bands.

“A few people have asked why we chose The Center to donate the proceeds of We Eat Hate Like Love. Arguably, there are many people in need right now and many groups under fire from the incoming administration. First, we don’t intend to stop here. Second, with a VP elect coming into office who has such a strong anti-gay record it is our duty to counter act those hateful actions with a show of strong support. People march and protest and write bills and sign things – Chrissy and I, with a lot of help from friends and acquaintances, are putting together a show and bitching raffle that will be a vessel through which we can not only have fun but give to an organization whose members are in the cross hairs.

Here is some additional info on The Center

The Center provides direct services to the many different facets of the LGBT community, including men, women, youth, seniors, families, LGBT Latino community members and their families, as well as those struggling with HIV. The Center has more than 41 years of experience as a health and human services agency. Last year The Center provided 61,550 service visits to 26,671 unique clients a year: 54% of them are people of color, 42% of them women and 12% of Center clients are Transgender.” – Katie Serbian

Mike Patton joins Dead Cross

These news are better than black coffee…

dead-cross

From Ipecac Recordings
“Here’s some news to get your Monday morning going: Mike Patton joins Dead Cross, new album on Ipecac in 2017!
Dead Cross, the Southern California outfit featuring Dave Lombardo (ex-Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies, Misfits), Justin Pearson (The Locust, Retox, Head Wound City) and Michael Crain (Retox, Festival of Dead Deer), have added Mike Patton as the band’s singer.

Lombardo is the guest drummer on Late Night with Seth Meyers this week (Dec. 12 to 15).”

We had the chance to see Dead Cross play their first show last year, Dec. 1st. at Casbah San Diego, you can see photos from that show on our Facebook page.
We can’t wait to listen to the album and see them perform live again, now with Mike Patton, is going to be insane.
