Yesterday, 3/14/17, Pi day, was the day that the debut LP from Dead Cross was officially finished and mastered.
The news were shared on social media and since then we have been wondering, when is it going to be released?, when are they performing live with Mike Patton?, (we were there on their brutal first show at the Casbah in San Diego, CA, with the awesome Gabe Serbian on vocals).
Are they going on tour, when and where?.
What we do know about this amazing band is who their members are:
Michael Crain (Retox, Festival of the Dead Deer)
Dave Lombardo (ex-Slayer, Misfits, Tomahawk, Suicidal Tendencies, etc.)
Mike Patton (Mr. Bungle, Faith No More, Tomahawk, Peeping Tom, Mondo Cane, etc.)
Justin Pearson (Three One G, The Locust, Head Wound City, Retox, Planet B, etc.)
And that their album is going to be released on Ipecac Recordings and it was produced by Ross Robinson.
We are beyond excited to hear the music and that it is happening, right now the world needs good music.
Planet B is the most interesting music project everybody should know about, formed by Justin Pearson (Head wound city, Retox, Dead Cross) , Gabe Serbian (The Locust) and Luke Henshaw (Penguin Studios), they did the soundtrack for Asia Argento‘s film ‘Incomprensa‘, which we highly recommend you to watch.
This is “Wrong Utopia“, from the limited 7” colored vinyl available on Three One G Records.
Lillie Mae Rische is the latest female musician produced by Jack White and signed to his record label, she is the back vocal/fiddle player on his solo touring band, she has been performing since she was three years old along with her family.
“Over the hill and through the woods” is taken from her debut album ‘Forever and then some’ out April 14th via Third Man Records.
At The Drive In – “Incurably Innocent”, is the second track released from their new album ‘in·ter a·li·a’, it took them a long time to release new music as ATDI, but it still sounds like they did 17 years ago.
The new album comes out May 5th via Rise records.
They will tour all over the USA and summer festivals in Europe.
Today it would have been Lou Reed’s 75th birthday.
Love you Lou.
