Lyrics
“Way you write”

Good looks never hurt no one
Yet they fail to
Turn me on

If you’d like a way with me
Then a way with words
Is the key

My, my
The way you write, write
Blows my mind, mind
Way you write

What a brilliant line
Can we spend the night?

Send me just a phrase or two
No one says things quite
Quite like you

I just cannot help but smile
Got me so intrigued
By your mind

My, my
The way you write, write
Blows my mind, mind
Way you write

What a brilliant line
Can we spend the night?

Author & Punisher – Nihil Strength

Author & Punisher “Nihil Strength”, off ‘Beastland‘ available Oct. 5th via Relapse Records.
This song is brutal, intense, is exactly what we needed to hear, it makes you want to scream blasphemies.
Directed by Augie Arredondo

author and punisher beastland album cover

– Relapse Records

Industrial metal visionary AUTHOR & PUNISHER delivers his sixth full-length recording and Relapse debut Beastland. Drawing inspiration from his career as a mechanical engineer, Tristan Shone (the creator and sole artist behind AUTHOR & PUNISHER) forged a relationship with design, sound, and fabrication that ultimately yielded his hand-built “Drone Machines” which mapped the journey away from traditional instrumentation towards custom made “precision machinery.” A robotic experimentation in industrial metal, noise, doom and drone, AUTHOR & PUNISHER recalls Nine Inch Nails channeling Godflesh, traversing through dark, uncompromising, and often disturbing soundscapes with occasional detours into rich melodies and splinters of light. Armed with newly built “Drone Machines” and a new label, Beastland is AUTHOR & PUNISHER’s career-defining statement and a powerful listening experience that further blurs the line between man and machine.
Beastland was recorded at K Street in San Diego, CA and engineered by Tristan Shone & John Cota (Death Eyes). Additional recording was done in Las Cruces, NM with Jason Begin (vytear). The album is co-produced with Braden Diotte (Faust, EXO//ENDO, Neurosis, Tarantula Hawk), mixed by Kurt Ballou at God City and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege. Album art by Juha Arvid Helminen. – Relapse Records

On August 30th, Author & Punisher is going to perform live at Moustache bar in Tijuana, México, with special guests David Scott Stone (LCD Soundsystem) and Adiós Mundo Cruel.
There are no west coast dates announced yet, don’t miss it!

Blood Orange

Blood Orange just released two beautiful new songs “Charcoal baby” and “Jewerly”, taken from his new album ‘Negro Swan’, to be released digitally on August 24th via Domino Record Co.
“My newest album is an exploration into my own and many types of black depression, an honest look at the corners of black existence, and the ongoing anxieties of queer/people of color.  A reach back into childhood and modern traumas, and the things we do to get through it all.  The underlying thread through each piece on the album is the idea of HOPE, and the lights we can try to turn on within ourselves with a hopefully positive outcome of helping others out of their darkness.” – Devonté Hynes

MorMor – Waiting on the warmth

Here is “Waiting on the warmth” new track from MorMor, one of our favorite songs for this summer.
For us it was love at first listen, (with Heaven’s only wishful), Seth Nyquist reminds us of Prince, his voice and beats are mesmerizing, a mix of pop, dance with a lot soul, we can’t wait to get his ‘Heaven’s only wishful’ EP that was just released today.

Dead Cross – Shillelagh (Panicker remix)

Here is “Shillelagh” brutally remixed by Panicker, off the new Dead Cross EP available via Ipecac Recordings.
The video was produced by the talented Eric Livingston, who created the cover art for both Dead Cross full-length debut and this EP.
Dead Cross will begin their first European Tour on June 2nd at Primavera Sound.

James Blake – Don’t miss it

“Don’t miss it”, new music by the amazing James Blake, in collaboration with Dom Maker (Mount Kimbie).

MorMor – Whatever Comes to Mind

This is MorMor, artist, singer/producer, multi instrumentalist from Toronto, that’s all we know!.
Listen to the music he creates with his soothing voice and smooth beats.
He kind of reminds us of Dev Hynes and Prince and we love it and we want mormor.
