Silent – Prayers for Rain

Darker times call for darker music…call it goth/post punk/death rock or music that matters and that is performed with heart and sweat, with such intensity that makes you feel the angst that is hidden inside all of us, that’s what Silent is, kind of, whatever we say about them is not enough to describe the energy they create as a band and what they transmit live, until now, with their sped up version of The Cure‘s (slower and more mellow) song, “Prayers for Rain”.
The track comes a new year’s surprise/gift and their first release since the debut album ‘A Century of Abuse‘ (2016) released via Three One G Records, they have been working on a new album but no release date has been announced yet.
This is a case where the cover might be/is better than the original version, If you don’t believe us, listen to it, feel free to share it.
The track is FREE to download.

Dead Cross – Church of the motherfuckers (Planet B remix)

Dead Cross “Church of the Motherfuckers” Planet B remix from the recently released self-titled EP, available now Ipecac Recordings.

Planet B is the project from Dead Cross bassist  Justin Pearson and Luke Henshaw (Sonido de la Frontera). The duo’s music lays somewhere just out of reach of genre, with aesthetics rooted in hip hop, hardcore punk, turntablism and ’70s/’80s horror movie soundtracks, all of which influenced this remix.

“This is meant to be an extension to the original ‘Church of the Motherfuckers’ video,” explains Justin Pearson of the Israel Henshaw and Jay Strickland directed clip. “Perhaps an interpretation but a realistic view or organized religion in the real world, and in modern times, which is unfortunate. Are well free in this world? This is Jesus Christ, this is religion.”

Video directed by Israel Henshaw and Jay Strickland. Edited by Jay Strickland.
Starring Zoe Coffey and John Brady

Very proud moment for us at I think I better follow you around, to see our daughter Zoe kicking ass in this video.

Dead Cross
EP just dropped, this is a continuation of their first album and now they collaborated with producer Brent Ashbury (Panicker) and Justin Pearson side project with producer Luke Henshaw, ‘Planet B‘, Michael Crain is ripping on guitar, Dave Lombardo is still a beast on drums and of course, Mike Patton‘s voice is the cherry on top.
Tomorrow they are going play live, their first show since their first US tour in 2017 , at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, CA., next they will appear at the Hell and Heaven Fest in Mexico City and then comes their first European tour.

Head Wound City live at the Echoplex

This happened almost 3 years ago, July 26, 2015 at the Echoplex, to say the least it was an amazing show, Head Wound City was presenting their album, “A new wave of violence” produced by Ross Robinson.
We were lucky to attend the show with our two daughters, Zoe (10) and Ofelia (3 months, this was her first concert, she stayed backstage with Dad and slept during the whole set), Zoe was awake standing side stage, amazed by the amount of energy and loud sounds her friends were making.
We can only say thank you to Cody, Gabe, Jordan, Justin, Nick for making more music and we hope to see you perform together again.
