The Smile have shared a new single, “Bending Hectic”.

It’s not known if this will be part of the new album the band intends on releasing this year or if its a stand alone single.

The song was produced by Sam Petts-Davies and it features strings by the London Contemporary Orchestra. The song sounds as if Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood from Radiohead made a song together that would sound like a clash between early Radiohead (pre-OK Computer) and Jonny Greenwood and Thom Yorke film scores, only not produced by Nigel Godrich this time around.

The band will start a tour tomorrow by playing two nights in Mexico City and will end with them playing the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago, IL on July 21st:
