Crockett shared this via his substack: “”Age of the Ram” completes The Sagebush Trilogy, which began with 2025’s Lonesome Drifter and Dollar a Day. Act I was about “the wanderer,” Act II was “the rustler,” and this concluding concept record focuses on “small-time cattle rustler” Billy McLane, “the outlaw. The kind that don’t set out to be a legend, but winds up one anyway.””
