No harm
Half life
The Black Heart Procession played the Casbah on November 3rd, 2017. They received a warm welcome at the venue from what it felt like a sold out crowd.
The band performed their debut album “1” in its entirety, even bringing out Mario Rubalcaba on for “Release My Heart”.
It would be an understatement to just say the show was amazing, but night 1 it was. If yo uh get a chance to see at least one of their shows please do yourself a favor and catch them live.

The Strypes made their second visit ever to the Casbah on Oct 18th and they played and amazing set.
Here’s a gallery from that show!

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs made their return at the Fonda Theatre and they played one of the best sets we have witnessed from them. And they did this to a packed house. There was no standing room left. There were no empty spots on the floor, if the person in front of you moved you moved right with them and so would the person behind you.
They sounded energized and fresh & loud and emotional. They were celebrating the reissue of Fever To Tell deluxe box set.

The idea of them doing a much bigger tour is almost non-existent. So our only chance to see the band is when they do these one off shows every blue moon. And in this ocassion they only had the Fonda show, the Growlers6 Fest in long Beach plus the show in Oakland. And that one show in NYC.

The setlist for the Fonda show:
Modern Romance / Rich / Cold Light / Black Tongue / Gold Lion / Under The Earth / Zero / Pin / Sacrilege / Subway / Soft Shock / Maps / Cheated Hearts / Heads Will Roll Encore: Poor Song / Y Control / Date With The Night/Tick.

“Thrown over the wall” is an amazing song by Lee Ranaldo, taken from his new album ‘Electric Trim’, available via Mute Records.
Ranaldo explains, “This is a song for the resistance: We use a telescope to measure great distances, a micrometer or microscope to explore minutia. The scale is vast, from infinite to infinitesimal; we humans but a momentary blip on the cosmic timeline. Last of your kind? RESIST / Eyes Ahead / Inclusion not Exclusion / RESIST.”

Listen to “Pulsar“, new track by Ride, the song is not included in their latest album ‘Weather diaries’.
“Pulsar re-imagines old organ samples, transmissions from space, effects, heavy beats and pulsing chords. The song title tips its head to the 60’s instrumental ’Telstar’ in name and theme; and the idea was to come up with some kind of ‘space anthem’ about light, existence, travel and return. The band all contributed to make the song what it is, and it all really came together in the studio when we worked with Erol Alkan once again, following on from the success of the ‘Weather Diaries’ sessions.” – Loz Colbert.
