Geometers are from Brooklyn, NY. They are a relatively new band and have an upcoming album that’s worth looking into that will be released via Jetsam-Flotsam on December 2nd.

They have a song that’s streaming right now via Brooklyn Vegan right here. The song is titled “L’appel Du Vide”,  the lead off song from the album, and its got a sound that is reminiscent of The Afghan Whigs and Fugazi, a somewhat sharp 90’s loud guitar driven powerful noise sound.

The album was produced by J RobbinsJawbox, and judging by the lead off track he does not disappoint in his work. He makes it sound immediate without making it nostalgic. It sounds like something that needs to be out now on the airwaves to counterbalance their peers.

Make sure to be on the lookout for when they (possibly) visit your town. Right now their upcoming dates are:

December 5 – Ann Arbor, MI @ The 8 Ball w/ Fine, Fine

December 7 – Louisville, KY @ Spinelli’s w/ Fine, Fine

December 8 – Asheville, NC @ The Odditorium w/ Fine, Fine

December 9 – Gastonia, NC @ Zoe’s w/ Fine, Fine.
