Lucero just released their 9th album, “Among The Ghosts”, on August 3rd via their own imprint Liberty & Lament.

For the song “Long Way Back Home” director Jeff Nichols, who is Ben Nichols (vocals) brother, made this amazing short film of a video for the song starring the always mesmerizing Michael Shannon, and also Garrett Hedlund, Scoot McNairy and Paul Sparks.
If you’re not familiar with Jeff Nichols work, well that’s a shame because you should, he’s the director for such amazing films like “Taking Shelter”, “Loving”, “Shotgun Stories”, “Midnight Special”, “Mud”. And the work / bond that he has created with Michael Shannon is one that not every actor or director are fortunate enough to have.

So, thank you to Lucero for writing this great song and having Jeff Nichols team up again with Michael Shannon so they could create this 7 minute (Americana) short film.
