Operators are back.
Operators have returned.
Operators delivered a message.
Operators released a new album on May 17th thru Last Gang Records.
Operators are coming to town. They’re playing the Casbah on Friday 6/14.

Who are Operators?
That would be Dan Boeckner, who also plays in Divine Fits / Wolf Parade / The Handsome Furs, Devojka and Sam Brown, who is also the drummer from Divine Fits.
This new album, titled “Radiant Dawn” to be released sometime in May, is the highly anticipated (for us at least) follow up to 2016 Blue Wave.

The new album looks / sounds / feels dystopian. That may very well be because nowadays, some more than others, feels like we are living in that dystopian future we once read about. Which in turn now means we have another soundtrack for it.
Their press release said this: “The album’s nine tracks meld raw analog hardware with Boeckner’s distinct voice to create an immersive cinematic sound. Interspersed between the tracks are instrumental intertitles that amplify the album’s 1970s sci-fi dystopian feel.”
