Gabriels shared this about the song and album: “Our debut album ‘Angels & Queens’ is a unique exploration of love and loss from each of our differing perspectives. We were planning to release our album next year, but got the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most amazing people who initially were strangers, but within weeks became family in the most mind blowing process. As the first part of the album was recorded, we knew we wanted to share it with you as soon as possible. We couldn’t be more excited to announce that Angels & Queens – Part I is coming this September, and Part II will follow in March. THANK YOU Sounwave and Beach Noise.”
Taleen Kali has shared her first single, “Flower Of Life”, off her debut album out March 3rd, 2023 via Dum Dum Records.

The video was directed by Joe Rubinstein.
Taleen Kali shared this about the song: “Flower of Life” was a spiritual concept I held onto for a long time before writing this song. The flower is a fractal, a cycle, ever blooming, ever decaying. For our 1st music video, we wanted to honor this cycle by highlighting the cultural moments we experienced in the recent past as a way of celebrating our resilience while also looking ahead to the future. For our band right now, it means being able to perform again and tour to support our upcoming album. In the larger scheme of things, it means so much more. It was important to us to not only highlight resistance but also celebration in the music video. The news clips in the video range from footage of LGBTQ pride marches to recent protests, which include the recent Roe vs. Wade demonstrations, Armenians in L.A. protesting the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war, Black Lives Matter, and even the 2017 Women’s March.”
Taleen and her band are already out on tour. Make sure to go out and support them.

The video for “One” was directed by Tim Walker and features drag star Salvia and Lewis Walker.
Andy Butler (Hercules and the Love Affair) shared this about the song: “Anohni and I wrote this song with the hope of further empowering young trans, queer and feminine spirits”.
ANOHNI shared this: “‘One’ is a song Andy and I wrote to celebrate the vigour of survival as an eco-femme battle cry. We wrote the lyrics together, pouring through our histories. At certain points, especially as kids, we both fought hard to survive. ‘No More Dying’ in a figurative (and literal sense) is proclaimed as a dare and a raging threat to those who seek to crush empowered innocence. Salvia, the vanguard of a younger generation who has fiercely explored modern identity, was the perfect channel for the song and the video. When Tim Walker confirmed that Salvia was open to collaborate, we were thrilled. For Hercules and Love Affair, a project that since the beginning has sought to express uninhibited queer freedom of expression, this video feels like a crowning achievement. And I am so grateful.”
Salvia said this in a statement: “I was immediately excited about this project when Tim told me about it. Before I heard the song I was open to acting out anything for the video, because I loved everyone involved. But when I heard the song, and I connected with it so much, I realised I would be able to channel my own experience and emotions into what I gave rather than just performing someone else’s story. So the video feels very natural and personal to me, even though it’s someone else’s project.”
Björk has shared the first single, “atopos”, off her new upcoming album “Fossora” out September 30th.
The video for the song was directed by Viðar Logi.
Björk shared this about the song: “The lyrics are inspired by what Roland Barthes described as the unclassifiable OTHER ‘our differences are irrelevant our union is stronger than us. Atopos is sonically a heavy bottom-ended bass world. We have six bass clarinets, punchy sub-drilling, nesting and digging us into the ground.”
Placebo has released a cover of the Tears For Fears song “Shout”.
This Placebo cover joins the versions of songs from ‘80s artists such as Sinead O’Connor (“Jackie”), The Smiths (“Bigmouth Strikes Again”), The Pixies (“Where Is My Mind?”) and – most famously of all – Kate Bush (“Running Up That Hill”) that have all been covered by the band.

The video for “Void Of Light” was directed by Chase Warren.
Ryan Osterman shared this about the song: “I’m not sure what it is about our nature as musicians but at our core, we love to tinker. Whenever we get something new, we have to set it up and hit record just to see what happens. For ‘Void of Light’ in particular, it was a new reverb pedal from a company called ‘Dr. Scientist.’ It’s called ‘the atmosphere’ and I feel its name is pretty self-explanatory. This pedal truly felt so expressive and opened up so many creative avenues for us to revisit over and over again. Once it entered the studio, it just didn’t get turned off. ‘The Atmosphere’ really had a tremendous impact on the first half of the song and I’m so thankful this pedal found i’s way to us. It truly is so customizable, down to the finest of details, and it really allowed us to create as musicians. This was definitely the first song we ever played as a group during rehearsal for Dimensional Bleed and it just felt so new and raw. You can just tell when you’re performing something with your friends that it’s resonating and everyone just feels so connected. This is one in particular we’re really excited to play live.”
The band will head out on a West Coast tour starting November, with support from SOM and Grivo.
